Agartala, October 15, 2025: West Bengal BJP President and Rajya Sabha MP Shamik Bhattacharya is currently undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Kolkata due to health complications.

On Wednesday, Tripura’s former Chief Minister and Lok Sabha MP Biplab Kumar Deb visited the hospital to inquire about Bhattacharya’s condition. After speaking with the attending doctors, Deb informed the media that Bhattacharya’s health had stabilized significantly compared to earlier.

“We are all praying for his speedy recovery,” Deb said, adding that he had offered prayers at the feet of Goddess Tripurasundari for Bhattacharya’s swift return to good health.
