ADC Churachanpur Lalrobul Fimate, MCS, today flagged off the “Run for Unity – Run for India” from Public Ground, Hiangtam Lamka, Churachandpur, as part of the observance of Rashtriya Ekta Diwas (National Unity Day).
The event, organised by the District Administration, Churachandpur, commemorated the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel — the Iron Man of India — who played a pivotal role in the unification of the nation. The run sought to promote the spirit of unity and national integrity among citizens.
Before the flag-off, Shri Vidyamari Sridhar, IAS, SDO Churachandpur, administered the Unity Pledge to a diverse group of participants, including personnel from the Police, CRPF, Central Paramilitary Forces, District Level Officers (DLOs), and students from various schools under ZEO Churachandpur.
The run concluded at the Mini Secretariat, Tuibong, with participants reaffirming their commitment to the ideals of unity and harmony upheld by Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.
