The Nagaland Pollution Control Board (NPCB) on Tuesday launched the HAWA (Healthier Air & Water Appraisal) Grievances Application at the Hornbill Festival venue in Kisama, coinciding with National Pollution Control Day.
Introduced under the National Clean Air Programme (NCAP), the mobile application aims to strengthen public participation in monitoring and reporting pollution-related issues. K. Hukato Chishi, Member Secretary of NPCB, urged citizens to register and actively use the platform to report environmental concerns.
The HAWA Grievances App has been specifically developed to address environmental complaints in Nagaland’s non-attainment cities, Kohima and Dimapur, and their adjoining areas. The app allows residents to report issues related to air and water pollution, emphasizing the role of public involvement in tackling environmental challenges. The application is available for download on the Play Store.
