Tripura: BSF, BGB Hold Sector Commander-Level Border Coordination Meeting at Manughat

Agartala, December 6, 2025: A Sector Commander–level coordination meeting between the Border Security Force (BSF) of India and the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) was held on Saturday at the Land Customs Station (LCS) in Manughat along the Indo-Bangladesh border.

The two sides reviewed prevailing conditions along the frontier and discussed key aspects of border management, including regulated cross-border movement and steps to curb illegal activities such as smuggling and unauthorised crossings. Emphasis was placed on improving operational coordination and strengthening mutual trust between personnel of both forces.

Senior officers stressed the importance of sustained dialogue as a tool to prevent misunderstandings and maintain stability in sensitive border areas. They also highlighted the need for joint efforts to ensure the safety and security of border residents while preserving peaceful and friendly relations between the two neighbouring countries.

Both BSF and BGB reaffirmed their commitment to continued cooperation and to pursuing a coordinated approach for effective and peaceful management of the international boundary.
