Agartala, January 22, 2026: Union Cabinet Minister for the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER), Jyotiraditya M. Scindia, is scheduled to arrive in Tripura on Friday for a three-day official visit.

During his stay, the minister will lay the foundation stones of several development projects funded by the DoNER ministry. State Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha is expected to be present at the events, according to administrative sources.

Ahead of the visit, a high-level preparatory meeting was held on Wednesday at the state secretariat under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Dr. Saha. The meeting discussed various aspects of the upcoming programmes and emphasized coordination to ensure the success of the minister’s tour. Ministers Sushanta Chowdhury, Tinku Roy, and Santana Chakma, along with senior officials of the administration, attended the meeting.

Officials stated that the visit is expected to accelerate the implementation of multiple development projects in Tripura with the support of the DoNER ministry, contributing significantly to the state’s overall growth.
