Gangtok, June 10: Actor and environmental advocate arrived in Sikkim on Wednesday for a three-day familiarization tour organised by the Tourism & Civil Aviation Department, Government of Sikkim.

The actor is visiting the Himalayan state from June 10 to 13 on a special invitation from the department. She was welcomed by Sonam Norgay Lachungpa, Chairperson of the Tourism & Civil Aviation Department, along with departmental officials.

According to the department, the visit is part of efforts to promote sustainable tourism, environmental conservation and responsible travel in Sikkim. During her stay, Pednekar will be introduced to the state’s tourism offerings, cultural heritage and natural attractions.

Officials said the visit will help showcase Sikkim’s scenic landscapes, rich traditions and hospitality while Emphasizing its commitment to environmentally sustainable tourism practices.
