Key State-Level Meeting on ‘VB-G RAM G’ Project Held in Presence of CM Dr Manik Saha

Agartala, January 24, 2026: A crucial state-level meeting was convened on Saturday at the BJP state headquarters in Agartala city to advance the objectives of the VB-G RAM G project. The meeting was attended by Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha, BJP State President and Rajya Sabha MP Rajib Bhattacharjee, Minister for Higher Education Kishor Barman, along with several senior leaders and party workers.

In his inaugural address, the Chief Minister Dr Saha emphasized that a “Developed India cannot be built without strengthening rural India.” He highlighted that the VB-G RAM G bill aims to transform rural employment from being merely wage-based to a sustainable model linked with skills, livelihoods, and production. “Through this initiative, rural youth, women, and marginalized communities will move towards self-reliance,” he said.

BJP State President Rajib Bhattacharjee, in his special remarks, described the project as a “revolutionary step for rural economy.” He noted that the initiative would turn villages into hubs of production, entrepreneurship, and self-sufficiency. “Agriculture, animal husbandry, fisheries, self-help groups, and small industries—all will benefit from the new opportunities this project opens up,” he added.

Towards the conclusion of the workshop, the Chief Minister outlined a roadmap for a rural awareness campaign. He stressed the need for organized outreach from booth level to panchayat, mandal, and district levels to ensure the project reaches every household. “Villagers must not remain mere beneficiaries; they should become partners in this development journey,” he remarked.

Panchayat Minister Kishor Barman echoed the sentiment, calling the initiative “a historic opportunity to reshape the future of rural India.” He stated that while MGNREGA saved rural communities, the VB-G RAM G project will empower them. “The dream of a developed India will only be realized when even the remotest villages gain access to dignified work, sustainable livelihoods, and self-reliance,” he said, urging political and organizational unity to drive the campaign forward.

Leaders and workers present at the meeting unanimously hailed the VB-G RAM G project as a landmark step towards building a developed India and pledged to spread its message across all sections of society.
