The 18th Bishu Mini Hornbill Tribal Festival 2026 was held at the Government High School Playground in Dhansiripar, Chümoukedima.
Addressing the gathering, Minister for Environment, Forest and Climate Change and Village Guard, C. L. John said festivals such as Bishu and the Hornbill Festival help promote unity, reconciliation, and a shared identity among the tribes of Nagaland. He called upon people to move beyond tribalism and work collectively for peace and economic progress in the state.
During the event, C. L. John also inaugurated exhibition stalls showcasing ethnic cuisine and traditional attire from 10 Dimasa villages.
The two-day festival is being organised by the Dimasa Public Organisation, Nagaland, in collaboration with the Nagaland Tourism Department.
