Kohima, May 23: Assistant Commandant Eshenthung Kikon of the 4 Assam Rifles was conferred the Shaurya Chakra by President Droupadi Murmu for his exemplary bravery and leadership during a high-risk operation in Manipur.
Kikon led a team that engaged in close combat with armed cadres in a sensitive area, resulting in the successful apprehension of 12 militants and the recovery of multiple weapons. His courageous actions reflect the professionalism and dedication of the armed forces.
