Agartala, February 26, 2026: Tripura Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha on Wednesday said that the state government is extending all possible support to the family of a student from Tripura who became a victim of an unfortunate incident in Gurgaon, while also taking up the matter at the highest levels to ensure justice.
Speaking on the issue, the Chief Minister said, “Today, I spoke with the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Haryana, Nayab Singh Saini, regarding the Gurgaon student victim. The Hon’ble Chief Minister assured me that he will personally look into the matter and take all necessary steps to ensure justice for the victim.”
Dr Saha said he also personally reached out to the victim’s family. “I spoke with the victim’s mother and assured her of all possible support from the Tripura Government during this extremely difficult time,” he stated, underlining the government’s sensitivity towards the family’s plight.
To ensure continuous assistance on the ground, the Chief Minister said he has directed the Chief Resident Commissioner of Tripura Bhawan, New Delhi, to stay closely connected with the family and extend all logistical and administrative help required.
Further highlighting the coordinated response, Dr Saha said, “On my request, Hon’ble Social Welfare Minister Tinku Royvisited the hospital to assess the situation and provide support to the victim and her family.”
The Chief Minister also informed that the matter has been taken up with the office of the Union Health Minister to ensure that the victim receives the best possible medical care. “We are leaving no stone unturned to ensure proper treatment, support, and justice,” he said.
Reaffirming the state government’s commitment, Dr Saha added that Tripura stands firmly with the victim and her family and will continue to pursue the matter until justice is delivered.
