Security forces arrested three suspected drug smugglers from a hotel in Moreh on March 8 and seized a large quantity of contraband along with cash and other items.

The arrested individuals have been identified as Letminlun Khongsai alias Minlun Khongsai (35), Jamgoulen Haokip (28) and Deikholam Chongloi (57).

During the operation, security forces recovered 2.3 kilograms of WY tablets, Rs. 2,00,200 in cash, two gold pendants, a black Thar four-wheeler bearing registration number ML05AE 0201, three mobile phones and two Aadhaar cards from their possession.

The arrest and seizure were carried out following intelligence sharing between Manipur Police and sister agencies, including the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB).

Officials said that one of the arrested persons is also involved in a case registered with the NCB.
