Agartala, March 28, 2026: The Directorate of Skill Development (DSD), Government of Tripura, has announced that the state team is set to participate in the prestigious IndiaSkills National Competition 2025–26, beginning March 29, 2026.
The competition will be organised across multiple venues, with onsite events scheduled at Greater Noida and offsite events to be held in Gandhinagar.
Tripura’s contingent earned its place at the national stage following an impressive performance at the regional-level competition held in Assam. The team secured two gold medals in Automobile Technology and Mobile App Development, along with two silver medals in Cloud Computing and Electrical Installation. As per the competition guidelines, these medal winners have qualified to represent the state at the national level.
Further strengthening its presence, Tripura has also secured direct walkover entries in five trades, with 13 candidates qualifying in emerging and future-ready sectors such as Cyber Security, Industry 4.0, ICT Infrastructure Network, Renewable Energy, and Digital Construction.
In total, 17 candidates will represent Tripura at the IndiaSkills National Competition 2025–26, reflecting the state’s growing excellence in advanced and industry-relevant skill domains.
The IndiaSkills Competition is a premier platform aimed at identifying and nurturing skilled youth, offering opportunities to compete at both national and international levels, including global platforms like WorldSkills.
The Directorate of Skill Development has extended its best wishes to all participants and reiterated its commitment to strengthening the skilling ecosystem in Tripura while empowering youth to excel in an increasingly competitive global landscape.
