Director General of Police (DGP) Manipur, Mukesh Singh, IPS, along with senior police officers, held a meeting with representatives of COCOMI, AMUCO and AMMOCOC at the Police Headquarters in Mantripukhri on Thursday.

During the meeting, the DGP emphasized the crucial role of civil society organisations (CSOs) in promoting peace, social harmony and inter-community understanding in the state. Discussions centred on the prevailing situation in Manipur, measures to maintain peace, and efforts to restore normalcy.

Representatives of the CSOs shared their concerns and views on the current challenges facing the state and assured their cooperation in initiatives aimed at fostering stability and communal harmony.

The meeting concluded with a joint commitment from both the police and the CSO representatives to continue dialogue and work together in the larger interest of Manipur, with a focus on ensuring peace and strengthening public confidence.
