The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has officially announced State party president Adhikarimayum Sarda Devi as its candidate for the upcoming Rajya Sabha election from Manipur.

The announcement coincided with the commencement of the election process for the lone Rajya Sabha seat from the state following the issuance of the official notification for polling, which is scheduled to be held on June 18.

As per the election schedule, the last date for filing nomination papers is June 8, while candidates may withdraw their nominations until June 11. The polling and counting of votes will take place on June 18.
