Agartala, April 04, 2026: Chief Minister Manik Saha on Saturday asserted that people in the ADC are prepared to form a ‘triple-engine’ government, emphasizing that a BJP-led administration is essential to ensure development in line with the progress of the nation under Narendra Modi.

Addressing an election rally at Ganda Twisa Motor Stand, the Chief Minister campaigned in support of party candidates Bhumikananda Reang for the Gangnagar-Ganda Twisa constituency and Samir Ranjan Tripura for the Raima Valley constituency. During the programme, as many as 710 voters formally joined the Bharatiya Janata Party, with the Chief Minister welcoming the new entrants.

A large turnout, particularly from the tribal community, marked the rally, reflecting what the Chief Minister described as growing public support for the BJP. He alleged that the ADC is currently under a corrupt administration and stated that people are seeking development, not unrest or deception.

Highlighting the party’s commitment, he said the BJP is dedicated to delivering development benefits directly to the people. He further claimed that in the upcoming ADC elections, voters are determined to ensure the party’s victory across all 28 seats to establish a ‘triple-engine’ government.

Taking an indirect dig at the Tipra Motha Party, he alleged that such regional forces are resorting to politics of intimidation and violence, similar to the CPM, which, he said, would not be accepted by the people.

The Chief Minister also underlined various initiatives undertaken by the government for the welfare and upliftment of tribal communities in the state.
