Pema Khandu on Thursday dedicated the re-rated Kitpi Mini Hydel Project (Phase–I) to the public in Tawang district. The event was attended by Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein, along with local MLAs and other officials.
The project, located at Kitpi village on the Nametrong River, has been upgraded from 3×500 KW to 2×750 KW capacity. Officials stated that the re-rating is expected to improve power generation efficiency and enhance electricity supply in the region.
The hydel project is aimed at supporting renewable energy use and reducing dependence on other power sources.
