IDPs’ Well-Being Top Priority: CM Orders Immediate Measures For Relief And Rehabilitation

Manipur Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh on Saturday directed officials to take immediate and necessary measures to address the concerns of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs), reaffirming that their well-being remains a top priority of the government.

During a visit to the Akampat Relief Camp in Imphal East, the Chief Minister met the parents and family members of a young kindergarten student who recently lost her life in a tragic incident. He expressed deep condolences, shared in their grief, and extended assistance to the bereaved family.

After personally listening to grievances raised by those staying at the relief camp, the Chief Minister instructed concerned authorities to act promptly to ease hardships faced by displaced families. He emphasised the need to reduce stress and ensure that rehabilitation and resettlement efforts are carried out in a timely and meaningful manner.

Reiterating the government’s commitment, he assured that all efforts would be made to stand by affected families and work towards restoring dignity, stability, and hope in their lives.
