A combined cordon and search operation was conducted on April 12 by Manipur Police, along with Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) and Army units, across multiple locations in Bishnupur district.
The operation, carried out from 7:00 am to 10:00 am, covered areas including Tronglaobi Makha Leikai, Tronglaobi Gurukhana, Tronglaobi Moirangpokpa, Gelmol, Uyungmakhong, and the Upper Canal area.
Security forces stated that such search operations and area domination exercises are continuing in fringe and vulnerable areas across various districts to maintain law and order.
Meanwhile, a total of 110 nakas and checkpoints were set up across Manipur in both hill and valley regions.
During the enforcement drive, 166 individuals were detained in connection with violations under Section 35 of the BNSS and curfew regulations.
In a separate crackdown on traffic violations, Manipur Police issued 48 challans between April 6 and April 12, collecting fines amounting to Rs. 40,000 as part of its ongoing effort to curb motor vehicle offences.
