PM Modi To Visit Sikkim On April 27 For Statehood Celebrations

Gangtok, Apr 16: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will begin a two-day visit to Sikkim from April 27, Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang said on Wednesday.

According to officials, the Prime Minister is scheduled to arrive at Libing Army Helipad near Gangtok at around 3 pm on April 27. He will take part in a roadshow from the helipad to Lok Bhawan, where preparations are underway.

During the visit, Modi will attend programmes at Lok Bhawan and Paljor Stadium. On April 28, he is scheduled to attend the concluding event of the state’s year-long 50th statehood celebrations at Paljor Stadium.

The Chief Minister made the announcement while speaking at the Silver Jubilee event of Sikkim Express held at Manan Kendra.
