Agartala, May 09, 2026: The Positive Barta Foundation under the leadership of Malay Pit, who is also the Chairman of Tripura Santiniketan Medical College & Hospital and Santiniketan Medical College & Hospital, Bolpur has announced the grand inauguration of the “Santiniketan Digital Mission” along with the oath-taking ceremony of thousands of rural women as “AI Maa” on December 25, 2026, marking Good Governance Day.
The mega event will be held at Santiniketan Medical College and Hospital in Bolpur, Birbhum district of West Bengal. According to Malay Pit, the initiative aims to build a digitally empowered, self-reliant, and positive rural society by combining technology with empathy and community service.
Addressing supporters and well-wishers, Pit said the movement seeks to ensure that within one year, every village will have at least one “AI Maa” — a trained rural woman who will provide essential digital services free of cost while spreading positive social messages through the “Ek Duniya” platform.
The initiative has already begun taking shape through several phases. The Digital Education Mission was launched in Bolpur on May 13 this year, followed by the Digital Tourism Mission in the Andaman Islands on June 28. The first batch oath-taking ceremony of “AI Maa” is scheduled to take place in Tripura on September 25, before the large-scale Bengal launch in December.
Pit stated that the initiative is not limited to technological advancement alone but is also intended to promote positivity, empower rural women, and encourage the growth of art, literature, music, education, and humanity for future generations.
