Manipur Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh, along with Deputy Chief Minister Losii Dikho, Home Minister Govindas Konthoujam, MLAs and other concerned government officials, visited the injured victims at Shija Hospitals in Imphal West on Wednesday and enquired about their well-being following the deadly attack in Kangpokpi district.

The visit came after armed miscreants allegedly opened fire on a group of civilians between Kotlen and Kotzim areas in Kangpokpi district earlier in the day, killing three innocent civilians and injuring four others.

Strongly condemning the incident, the Chief Minister described the attack as a dastardly act of terrorism that claimed the lives of Rev. Vumthang Sitlhou, former General Secretary of MBC and President of the Thadou Baptist Association, along with two other church leaders.
