Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma on Thursday laid the foundation stones for three major road infrastructure projects at Latyrke Playground in East Jaiñtia Hills district, involving a total investment of approximately ₹412 crore.
The projects include the upgradation of the Dkhiah–Sutnga–Saipung–Pala up to Semmasi Road at an estimated cost of ₹355 crore, strengthening of the Dkhiah–Sutnga–Saipung–Moulsei–Haflong Road at a cost of ₹10.3 crore, and improvement of the Sutnga–Khaddum Road, including better access to Chympe Waterfalls, at a cost of ₹46.75 crore.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said the projects would improve connectivity in the region and contribute to economic growth, tourism, education, healthcare access, and overall development.
He stated that the government remains committed to strengthening infrastructure and accelerating development across Meghalaya.
