Chief Minister Pema Khandu on Thursday said the state is witnessing “unprecedented growth and investment,” asserting that Arunachal is “moving faster than ever before.” Speaking at the 73rd Plenary Session of the North Eastern Council (NEC) in Shillong, chaired by Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Khandu said sectors from roads and airports to tourism, startups, agriculture, and hydropower are driving the state’s transformation.

“What was once seen as a frontier is today emerging as a growth engine of the Northeast,” the Chief Minister told the plenary.

Khandu stressed that the opportunities for Arunachal Pradesh and the wider Northeast “have never been greater.”

“The time to think big, act boldly, and deliver results is now,” he added, underlining the state government’s push for accelerated development.

The NEC plenary was attended by Governors, Chief Ministers of the eight Northeastern states, and senior central officials to review regional development projects and set future priorities.
