Veteran Bharatiya Janata Party leader Tai Tagak today filed his nomination as the party’s candidate for the lone Rajya Sabha seat from Arunachal Pradesh at the State Legislative Assembly.
Chief Minister Pema Khandu and Deputy CM Chowna Mein accompanied Tagak during the filing, as well as State BJP President Kaling Moyong, Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein, Arunachal Pradesh BJP in-charge Ashok Singhal were also present.
Following the nomination, CM Pema Khandu said Tai Tagak brings “vast experience, deep understanding of our State, and an unwavering commitment to the people of Arunachal Pradesh.”
“He will be a strong voice for our State in the Rajya Sabha,” Khandu stated.
The Chief Minister wished Tagak “every success in the journey ahead and a fruitful tenure in service of the State and the nation.”
“As Arunachal Pradesh strides forward with confidence and purpose, effective representation at the national level becomes ever more important,” Mein said, wishing Tagak success.
