Imphal, Nov 21: As violence continues to escalate in Manipur, additional central forces have been deployed to help restore peace. Eight more companies of the Central Armed Police Force (CAPF) arrived in the state capital, Imphal, on Wednesday, an official confirmed.
This follows the earlier arrival of 11 CAPF companies the previous day. The newly deployed forces, including four companies each from the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and the Border Security Force (BSF), will be stationed in sensitive and high-risk areas across the state to maintain law and order.
The increased presence of central forces is aimed at curbing the ongoing unrest and ensuring the safety of residents amid the rising violence in the region.
