Shillong, Dec 17: Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma today inaugurated the Anti-Narcotics Task Force Police Station in Shillong, marking a significant milestone in the state’s fight against drugs.
The event was attended by Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong, Social Welfare Minister Paul Lyngdoh, Health Minister Dr. Ampareen Lyngdoh, and DGP IDASHISHA Nongrang.
Chief Minister Sangma emphasized the importance of this initiative, stating that the police station will have a substantial impact on tackling the drug menace in the state. He also highlighted that the Anti-Narcotics Task Force Police Station will serve as the central hub for monitoring and coordination.
