Combined security forces comprising the Army, BSF, CRPF, and State Police have carried out extensive combing and search operations since December 28, in Sabungkhok Khunou, Shantikhongbal, Thamnapokpi, Sanasabi, Uyok Ching, and Natum Ching areas along the Thamnapokpi and Sanasabi borders in Imphal East District.

During the operations, armed miscreants were flushed out from the targeted areas. Security forces destroyed four illegal bunkers and took control of three others in both valley and hill regions.

Additionally, a joint team of Army, BSF, and CRPF has occupied key dominating positions in Uyok Ching to ensure security in the area.
