Manipur Observes 191st Death Anniversary Of Maharaj Gambhir Singh; CM Lays Foundation For Museum

Chief Minister N. Biren Singh attended the 191st Death Anniversary observance of Maharaj Gambhir Singh at his Samadhi in Langthabal, Imphal West. On the occasion, the Chief Minister also laid the foundation stone for the Maharaj Gambhir Singh Museum, aimed at preserving the legacy of the revered monarch.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), the Chief Minister shared his thoughts, stating, “As we lay the foundation stone for the Maharaj Gambhir Singh Museum, let it be a reminder of their legacy and a symbol of our commitment to preserving our rich heritage.”

He further expressed hope for a united future, adding, “May the spirit of Maharaj Gambhir Singh and our other forefathers guide us as we move forward, working together to build a prosperous and united Manipur.”

The event underscores the state’s efforts to honor its history and cultural heritage. Power Minister Thongam Biswajit, MLA Karam Shyam attended the function.
