Imphal, Jan 16: Manipur Police arrested two active members of the Kangleipak Communist Party (PWG) from Uripok Mayai Leikai near Machang Bakery Shop. The duo was allegedly involved in extortion activities targeting shops and showrooms in and around the Imphal area.
The arrested individuals have been identified as Khangembam Sanaton Singh (51), also known as Sanatomba or Loya and Thokchom Tiken Singh (43), also known as Ibungo.
Recovered items from their possession include four mobile handsets with four SIM cards, one side bag, one four-wheeler. The suspects are currently in custody as further investigations are underway.
