Agartala, January 29, 2025: Tripura has earned the second position among the top three marching bands in the 2025 Republic Day Parade, marking a proud moment for the state.

The results of the best marching bands were announced on Wednesday after a rigorous evaluation by three judging panels. These panels assessed the performances of the Services Department, Central Armed Police Forces, auxiliary forces, and the bands representing various states, union territories, and central ministries.

Tripura’s marching band captivated the audience with its performance, themed ‘Eternal Respect: Worship of 14 Deities in Tripura – Kharchi Puja’. The cultural vibrancy and disciplined display earned the state a prestigious second-place ranking.

Congratulating the winners, a Central Government spokesperson stated, “We extend our heartfelt congratulations to all the participating bands for their outstanding performances. Tripura’s achievement reflects its rich cultural heritage and commitment to excellence.”

This recognition adds to Tripura’s growing stature in national celebrations, showcasing its traditions on a grand platform.
