Nagaland Taekwondo Team Wins Three Gold Medals At Seongnam Open In South Korea*

Kohima, July 21: The Nagaland Taekwondo team has earned international recognition by winning three gold medals at the Seongnam Open International Taekwondo Championship held in South Korea. The championship, which saw participation from 21 countries, commenced on Friday and concluded on Sunday.

Led by Director of Youth Resources and Sports, Kethosituo Sekhose, the Nagaland contingent included President of the Nagaland Taekwondo Association, Pele Khezhie, Team Manager Theja Keretsu, and Coach Visabiu Peseyie.

The gold medalists from Nagaland are P. Athongti in the Under 49 kg category, Sentimoa Ozukum in the Under 55 kg category, and Vilabizo Nagi in the Under 68 kg category. The achievement marks a significant milestone for the state’s sporting community on the international stage.
