Arunachal Pradesh State Transport Services (APSTS) signed an MoU with RedBus-MakeMyTrip on Wednesday to expand its e-ticketing network and make bus bookings more accessible.
Starting next month, travelers can purchase APSTS tickets through mobile phones and personal computers. The service will also be integrated at APSTS booking counters and available with bus conductors.
The partnership enables bookings via MakeMyTrip along with its partner platforms Goibibo, Google Pay, Amazon Pay, and IRCTC, giving passengers multiple options to reserve seats.
Transport Minister Ojing Tasing, who was present at the signing, said the collaboration will boost convenience for the public and improve access to e-ticketing. He noted that it will help APSTS increase revenue while making travel planning easier for commuters.
Transport Secretary Saugat Biswas said, “the rollout will begin with inter-state routes and all routes within Arunachal Pradesh will be added to the booking system in later phases”.
Once internal processes are finalized, passengers can book tickets at https://www.makemytrip.com/bus-tickets/ or reach the APSTS helpline at 9863319884 for assistance.
