A Bengal Slow Loris, locally known as Lajuki Bandar, was released into the wild by forest officials in Itanagar. The rescued primate was set free under the supervision of Damodhar A. T, IFS, Conservator of Forests (Wildlife & Biodiversity), along with other department officials.
The release marks a significant step in the state’s efforts to protect endangered species and restore ecological balance. The Forest Department expressed gratitude to the local community for their support in wildlife conservation and reaffirmed its commitment to preserving Arunachal Pradesh’s rich biodiversity.
