Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu has reaffirmed the Arunachal Pradesh government’s commitment to preserving and promoting indigenous faiths and traditions, which he described as the cultural and spiritual core of the state’s tribal communities.
Sharing a message on social media on Thursday, Khandu emphasized the unique nature of indigenous belief systems, noting that they are rooted in the land and shaped by generations of lived experiences, not written scriptures.
“They are not exported, they are rooted. They hold the soul of our people, our forests, mountains, rivers, and ancestors,” he wrote on X, highlighting the importance of protecting these traditions for the future of Arunachal’s identity.
