Itanagar, Dec 18: Arunachal Pradesh Governor Lt Gen (Retd) K T Parnaik on Tuesday commended the media for being a vital partner in the state’s growth and development. In a meeting with journalists at Raj Bhawan, the Governor highlighted the significant role the media plays in shaping the state’s progress, particularly in a time of rapid development.

Parnaik emphasized that the media must maintain a progressive and positive outlook in their reporting, contributing to the state’s evolving social and economic landscape. He urged journalists to focus on success stories from rural areas, including those featuring women entrepreneurs, and to address critical social issues such as drug addiction.

The media delegation, led by Arunachal Pradesh Union of Working Journalists (APUWJ) president Amar Sangno and Arunachal Press Club (APC) president Dodum Yangfo, briefed the Governor on the challenges faced by journalists and shared their aspirations for the future of the media in the state.
