Arunachal Pradesh Health Minister Biyuram Wahge has appealed to the Union Government for support in setting up a Super Speciality Hospital in the Itanagar Capital Region to enhance healthcare services in the state.
In a meeting with Union Health Minister J P Nadda in New Delhi on Friday, Wahge pointed out that the state’s hilly terrain and remote location make access to advanced medical treatment difficult, forcing many patients to seek care outside Arunachal Pradesh.
He noted that the proposed hospital would function as a referral hub for Arunachal Pradesh and several neighbouring North Eastern states, helping reduce patient burden and strengthen regional healthcare.
