Itanagar, Nov 22: Arunachal Pradesh Governor Lt Gen (Retd) K.T. Parnaik on Saturday reviewed the implementation and utilisation of the PM Gati Shakti initiative in the state during a meeting held at Raj Bhavan here.

Chief Secretary Manish Kumar Gupta and Planning Commissioner Ankur Garg briefed the governor on the PM Gati Shakti portal and its operational framework, while Arunachal Pradesh State Remote Sensing Application Centre Director Dr. H. Dutta made a detailed presentation on the platform’s applications.

Emphasising the need for coordinated planning, the governor urged all departments to make full and effective use of the PM Gati Shakti repository in executing development projects. He noted that the platform’s integrated data system can significantly improve planning efficiency, reduce delays, and strengthen inter-departmental coordination.

Parnaik also suggested that the state develop its own dedicated digital application to support governance, enabling officials to analyse data more effectively, plan projects with greater precision, and monitor progress in real time. Such a tool, he said, would enhance administrative efficiency and ensure transparent and faster delivery of development outcomes.

The governor further advised officials to explore technology-based applications for monitoring the Vibrant Villages Programme, disaster management, anti-drug initiatives, and agri-horticultural projects.
