Itanagar, Jan 9: Arunachal Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein on Friday praised India’s projected economic growth of 7.4 per cent for 2025-26, describing it as a reflection of sustained reforms and resilient momentum under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership.

In a social media post, Mein referred to the First Advance Estimates (FAE) from the Centre, highlighting India’s strong macroeconomic fundamentals and its position as one of the world’s fastest-growing major economies.

“India’s growth at 7.4 per cent in 2025-26 underlines the success of focused reforms and prudent economic management,” said Mein, who handles the finance, planning, and investment portfolios.

He noted that nominal GDP is expected to rise by around 8 per cent, signaling broader economic activity and increasing incomes. The services sector, projected to grow at 7.3 per cent, continues to be a key driver of the expansion.

“Buoyant growth in the services sector remains a key pillar of India’s economic strength, creating opportunities across sectors and regions,” Mein added.

The deputy chief minister emphasized that the positive outlook is expected to boost employment, strengthen public finances, and support inclusive development in states, including frontier regions like Arunachal Pradesh. “This growth trajectory reflects a confident, future-ready India, moving steadily towards long-term prosperity,” he said, highlighting its benefits for farmers, youth, and entrepreneurs.

Mein also pointed out that India’s steady economic performance enhances its global stature amid ongoing uncertainties.
