Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi on Monday to brief him on the state’s developmental progress and preparations for the Prime Minister’s scheduled visit to Assam on September 8.
According to an official update shared by the Chief Minister on his X handle, the discussion focused on Assam’s notable achievements across socio-economic sectors and the near saturation of major welfare schemes.
“Had the privilege of calling upon Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji in New Delhi today. Briefed him on Assam’s notable strides across socio-economic indicators and the near saturation of major welfare schemes,” Sarma stated.
He added that the people of Assam are looking forward to welcoming the Prime Minister on September 8, a day he described as “another milestone in our state’s development journey.”
