Guwahati-based contestant Mrigashree Baruah from Assam has finished as the 1st Runner-Up at Miss Grand India 2026, marking a notable achievement at the national beauty pageant.
Representing Miss Grand Assam 2026, she participated in the competition held at the national level and delivered a strong performance throughout the event.
Baruah has worked as an anchor and has represented both government and corporate platforms in her professional career. She holds an academic background in Political Science and is currently pursuing legal studies.
She previously secured the Runner-Up position at Miss Northeast India 2019, adding to her pageant experience.
Alongside her professional and academic pursuits, she is trained in Sattriya dance and is also engaged in painting and social work activities associated with organisations such as Rotary International and the Human Rights International Federation.
