Agartala, May 04, 2026: Founder of the Tipra Motha Party, Pradyot Kishore Manikya Debbarma, on Monday congratulated the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for its “stupendous victory” in West Bengal, stating that the results reflect a significant shift in the country’s political landscape.
In a Facebook post, Deb credited the victory to the concerted efforts of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and Tripura’s Lok Sabha MP Biplab Kumar Deb, who was in charge of the party’s campaign in the state.
“The effort by PM Modi, Amit Shah and in-charge Biplab Deb has resulted in the Trinamool rout,” Deb remarked, highlighting the scale of the BJP’s performance in West Bengal.
Commenting on developments in other states, the TMP founder noted that the Left’s defeat in Kerala marks the end of communist governments in India after nearly six decades. “The Left has also lost in Kerala, which means there will be no communist sarkaar in any state in India after 60 years,” he said.
Deb also referred to political developments in southern and northeastern states, pointing out that actor-turned-politician Joseph Vijay has “routed the Dravidian parties” in Tamil Nadu, while in Assam, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has reaped “rich rewards” for his strong stance on issues related to illegal immigration.
According to Deb, the outcomes across multiple states indicate that voters are increasingly aligning with decisive leadership and clear policy positions.
