A joint operation conducted by Assam Rifles in coordination with Champhai Police led to the seizure of 35.83 grams of Heroin No. 4 in the general area of Zote in Champhai district, Mizoram on 23 April 2026.

According to officials, the seized contraband is estimated to be valued at approximately ₹26.87 lakh. One individual was apprehended during the operation.

The recovered narcotics, along with the arrested individual, have been handed over to the Excise and Narcotics Department in Champhai for further investigation and legal proceedings.
