ICRS Representatives Meet Manipur Governor, Seek Support For Humanitarian Efforts

Representatives of the Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS), Manipur State Branch, led by Vice President Dr. R.K. Nimai Singh, met with Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla at Raj Bhavan this evening. The team, which included the IRCS Chairman, Secretary, and Treasurer, briefed the Governor on their ongoing humanitarian initiatives in Manipur.

They highlighted the distribution of relief materials to Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in various relief camps across the hills and valley regions. Additionally, health camps have been organized to provide psychological support to the IDPs, and blood donation drives have been conducted regularly in collaboration with medical institutions.

The IRCS representatives raised concerns about a shortage of funds and requested the Governor’s support to sustain their initiatives. Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla lauded the organization’s efforts and assured them of his support to continue their vital humanitarian work.
