Agartala, June 16, 2026: A three-day ‘Jan Kalyan Shivir’ (Public Welfare Camp) was inaugurated on Monday under the initiative of Chandipur RD Block in Unakoti district, commemorating the completion of 12 years of the Central Government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. State ARDD Minister Sudhangshu Das attended the inaugural programme and highlighted the importance of such camps in delivering government services directly to the people.

Addressing the gathering, Minister Sudhangshu Das said that the country has witnessed significant progress in development, transparency, and public welfare during the last 12 years under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

“Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the country has set a new benchmark in development and public welfare. This Public Welfare Camp has been organized with the objective of ensuring that the benefits of various central and state government schemes reach even the most remote sections of society,” the Minister said.

He further stated that the state government under the leadership of Chief Minister Professor Dr. Manik Saha is continuously working to make government services more accessible to the people. According to him, such camps provide citizens with an opportunity to receive information, guidance, and services from multiple departments under one roof, reducing unnecessary delays and difficulties.

“The main aim of these camps is to bring government facilities closer to the people. They save valuable time for the common people and help eligible beneficiaries directly access the benefits of different welfare schemes,” Sudhangshu Das added.

The Minister informed that representatives from various government departments are participating in the camp, providing assistance, information, and necessary support to residents regarding different schemes and services. He emphasized that such initiatives play an important role in increasing awareness among people and ensuring that the benefits of welfare programmes reach genuine beneficiaries.

The inaugural programme was attended by Chandipur Panchayat Samiti Chairperson Sampa Das, officials from various departments, elected representatives, and other dignitaries.

The organizers expressed hope that a large number of residents from the area would participate in the three-day camp and take advantage of the various government services and welfare schemes available through the initiative.
