Security forces conducted search operations and area domination in vulnerable and fringe areas of Manipur’s hill and valley districts. The operations led to the recovery of the 1 Heckler & Koch G3 Rifle (5.56 mm) with Magazine, 1 .32 Pistol with Magazine, 1 9 mm Pistol with Magazine, 10 rounds of 7.62 mm ammunition, 1 Single Barrel Rifle and 2 Tube Launchers.
The recovery was made from Saheibung Peak, Zero Point-Kotzim Road under New Keithelmanbi Police Station, Kangpokpi District.
In the meantime, Security forces ensured the movement of 136 vehicles along NH-37 and 336 vehicles along NH-2 carrying essential supplies. Strict security measures were implemented at vulnerable locations, with security convoys deployed on sensitive stretches to guarantee free and safe passage for vehicles.
A total of 109 checkpoints were set up across the state, covering both hill and valley districts. No individuals were detained for violations during the operations. Authorities continue to prioritize the safety and security of the region.
