In a swift follow-up action to a threat video posted on Facebook on November 21 by a user identified as “Metei Lanmi Naotyboy,” Manipur Police, in coordination with the Assam Rifles, launched an operation and arrested three active cadres of the KCP (MFL) involved in the incident threatening to bomb the Sangai Festival 2025.

Those arrested include Laishram Sonia Devi, 31, of Okram Chuthek in Imphal East, who was picked up from her residence and is believed to be involved in extortion activities. The second arrest was of 22-year-old Salam Luwangnganba Meetei, also known as Ibungo, from Tera Sadokpam Leikai. The third individual, Phamdom Phampok Meitei, also known as Ajay or Abungcha, aged 29, from Wangjing Bazar in Thoubal district, was allegedly involved in planning to hurl grenades at the ongoing festival.

Police said further investigation is underway.
