Mizoram Tourism Minister Lalnghinglova Hmar on Wednesday laid the foundation stone for the tourism project “Development of amenities under PRASHAD scheme in Vangchhia,” valued at ₹547.32 lakh, at Vangchhia in Champhai district.

The project will feature a Heritage & Cultural Centre, parking facilities, solar-powered street lighting, and rainwater harvesting systems, among other amenities.

On the same day, the Tourism Department organized a Storytelling Programme on the history of Kawtchhuah Ropui at Vangchhia.
