Agartala, June 25, 2025: Union Minister of State for Youth Affairs and Sports, Raksha Nikhil Khadse chaired a high-level review meeting at Kailashahar Circuit House on Wednesday to assess the progress of key Central Government schemes in Tripura’s Unakoti district.
The meeting focused on flagship programs including the Swachh Bharat Mission, Ayushman Bharat, Digital India, Ujjwala Yojana, Start-up India and Skill India evaluating their implementation at both the state and district levels.
Tripura’s Minister for Social Welfare and Social Education, Tinku Roy and Unakoti district’s DM Tamal Majumdar were present along with senior officials from various departments and the district administration.
Addressing the officials, Minister Raksha Khadse stressed the importance of cooperative federalism in delivering the benefits of these schemes to the grassroots.
“The only way to implement flagship projects is through coordinated efforts of the state and the Centre. The administration should give utmost importance to ensuring that the common people get the benefits of these projects at the local level,” she said.
Sources within the administration noted that the review meeting served as a catalyst to identify challenges and streamline the delivery mechanisms. Officials expect the pace of implementation to accelerate in the coming months as inter-departmental coordination improves.
On the second day of her two-day state visit, Minister of State for Youth Affairs and Sports Raksha Khadse joined the inspection of ongoing development projects in Chandipur and Kailashahar, Unakoti district.
Roy was accompanied by the MoS Raksha Nikhil Khadse visited Shaiva Tirtha Unakoti, an iconic spiritual and tourist landmark in Tripura and receiving the blessings of Baba Maheshwar.
