Nagaland Government Flags Off New College Buses To Improve Student Transportation

Kohima, May 21: Nagaland Minister of Tourism and Higher Education, Temjen Imna Along, flagged off new buses on Wednesday for five government colleges in the state to improve student transportation and reduce commute-related issues.

The five colleges receiving the new buses are:

1. Kohima Science College, Jotsoma

2. Kohima College, Kohima

3. Dimapur Government College, Dimapur

4. Phek Government College, Phek

5. Fazl Ali College, Mokokchung

The initiative aims to provide students with more comfortable and reliable travel options, minimizing instances of missed classes due to lack of transportation.

The Minister acknowledged the efforts of V. Lovitoly Sema and the Higher Education Department in implementing the initiative and expressed gratitude to Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio for his continued support towards student welfare and higher education.

The new buses are expected to ease daily commutes and support a more efficient academic environment in the state’s government colleges.
