Nagaland: Kohima Enforces Strict Reporting Norms For Foreigners

Kohima, May 6: The Deputy Commissioner of Kohima has issued an order mandating strict compliance with the provisions of the Immigration and Foreigners Act, 2025, and related rules.

The directive, issued following instructions from the State Government and the Ministry of Home Affairs, requires all accommodation providers in Kohima district, including hotels, guest houses, homestays, private rentals, hospitals, and nursing homes to report the arrival of any foreigner or Overseas Citizen of India to the designated Registration Officer.

The order further directs these establishments to maintain accurate records of foreign guests and produce them when demanded by authorities.

The compliance requirement also extends to hostels, boarding houses, educational institutions, and other facilities housing foreign nationals.
